This information is created and managed by you directly within the Extension.

The task data you create is used solely for the purpose of:

  • Displaying your tasks on the new tab page.
  • Allowing you to create, edit, delete, reorder, and mark tasks as complete.
  • Persisting your tasks so they are available when you reopen your browser or the Extension.

3. How We Store Your Information

All task data you create is stored locally on your computer using Chrome’s local storage (chrome.storage.local).

  • No External Transmission: Your task data is not sent to, stored on, or processed by any external servers or third-party services. It remains entirely within your browser’s local storage on your device.
  • Data Persistence: The data is stored locally to ensure your tasks are saved and accessible across your browsing sessions.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your task data with any third parties. Since all data is stored locally on your device, we do not have access to it, nor do we transmit it elsewhere.

5. Data Security

The Extension relies on the security measures provided by your web browser (Google Chrome) and its local storage mechanisms to protect your data. As the data is stored locally, its security is primarily dependent on the security of your own computer and browser environment.

6. User Control and Data Deletion

You have full control over your task data:

  • You can view, edit, and delete individual tasks directly within the Extension.
  • If you uninstall the Extension, all task data stored by the Extension in chrome.storage.local will typically be removed by the browser. You can also manually clear your browser’s storage for the extension if needed.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Extension is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the relevant age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information.
